It is a moderate hike with a long draw going up Short Mountain, then begins to level off. From what I understand the draw is the hardest part of the hike. Lots of large old trees, Mosses and leaf off Views.

Sugar Loaf Mountain / Greers Ferry lake 2.0 miles
We will try again???
Meet at the Church 8:00AM
This hike is on an island in the middle of the lake. Whether we take it or not…. depends on us having someone with a boat to take us across the lake. The water can be choppy and we don’t have enough canoes to get everyone across ,so, I am asking around for people with bass boats or a party barge to get us across……..this is a tentative one…if it doesn’t work out we will still hike, just not at Sugar Loaf. Will keep you posted on the arrrangements.
We will take picnic lunches on this hike
This is rated moderate to hard…because it is a 560ft. Climb to the top…no rock climbing just steadley going up.

We are very relaxed and take our time as we enjoy the wonders of the great outdoors and each others company.
Hope to see all of you on the trail!!!!!!!!!!!!
