Season 2009 – 2010  Hiking schedules are available for you to pick up in Shoemaker Hall

We have new leaders!!!!!!!!

The new leaders and contacts for this group are Jane McGregor and Fran Ferris contact information is Jane  479-968-2637 sandym@cswnet.com , Fran 479-968-3518 franferris@suddenlink.net . I have totally enjoyed this group and have had great times and adventures with a terrific bunch of people but due to Saturday obligations and  a very tight schedule I feel that I can not give this vital group the attention it needs to grow.  I thank Jane and Fran very much for their willingness to take over the leadership of this group and hope that you all will support them and keep our hiking group in the woods and in fellowship.  I will see you on the trail as often as I can… thank you for your support for the last few years ……………………………………. love and laughter     kaye

ATTENTION MEMBERS

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE GROUP

Do you like to be in the woods? The Outdoor Adventure Group is looking for one or two members of the church that would be interested in leading this group. Due to my extremely busy schedule this year I feel that I can not give this group the attention it needs.

The schedule of hikes is already made out for this season, so all that is left to do for this year is to be present the 3rd Saturday of each month for the hikes and write a trip report afterwards for the Sentinel.

If you think this is something that you may enjoy doing please give me a call 479- 970-9316 or email me at kstaggs724@yahoo.com I would love to see this group continue walking in the woods and enjoying the fellowship we have had for the past 6 or 7 years.

Thank you

kaye

We invite you to join us  as we hike the Bench Road Trail of Mt. Nebo an easy to Moderate hike of 4.0 miles

We have hiked the other two trails of  Mt. Nebo so we need to do this one. This loop trail circles the mountain on an old roadbed that follows a level spot that is just below the Rim Tail. There are a few spurs off the trail to see side attractions.

We will meet at the Church at 8Am leaving at 8:15 Am bring water and snacks for the trail, walking stick, camera, med’s and anything you think you may need for the day. We will plan to have lunch at the Brick oven when we arrive back at Russellville.
